Man and a mission

If the woman was not created from the man, why is she called a woMAN?  Why is the woman called a feMALE if she was not brought forth from the male? Why is her identity linked to the other sex? Fair questions I believe, since in nature, the man comes from the woman. Ah, but Who set nature in motion, and therein lies the easy answer.

Image result for mission impossible

Yeah yeah I know, this is simple, but the deepest truths are to be found in the simple

Coming to a town near you, the eradication of the politically correct word ‘men,’ for how many women are traumatized when driving down the road and seeing the sign: ‘men working……’ Yep, truly a disaster, for the sign should read ‘people working,’ to include all creatures great and small.

God forbid that we should ignore the thousands of steel workers, crane operators, sandblasters who dangle high atop the earth, jack hammerers, bulldozer operators, cement workers, on and on, who happen to be male, and change the sign to ‘slow ahead, humans working.’ There, fixed it.  But I digress.

Why can’t a Hawkin’ s or Dawkins get it?  Oh they get it all right, but truth requires that pride bow low, better yet, very low,  to the Creator of all that is. Quite a price to pay, but so few are slow to ante up. Yep, pride is like weed spurs on velcro. Hard if not impossible to let go.

A person should really weigh the ramifications of the very word ‘man,’ and the very word ‘woMAN,’ and consider honestly WHERE this definition came from.

Was it a committee,  the board of education, a Senate, a brainstorming at the cave, a wigwam at the teepee, the elders of Avalon, the sages of Nepal, Joan of Arc, a publishers clearing house survey, the women on ‘the View,’ a ‘who can name this thing contest,’ or should we perhaps bow to the simple revelation: ‘male and female created He them.’ There, fixed it.

And please Mr. or Mrs. naysayer, if you happen upon this, don’t embarrass yourself and cry ‘translation’ or ‘language barriers’ as a lame excuse. A man knows a snake in any tongue, and one need not be Chinese to know the difference between a panda and a polar bear.

It’s free for the taking, to have and to hold, and to enjoy the bountiful truth that GOD made them, male and feMALE, which by the way, nature also testifies that male and female produce after their kind. Enter the elephant, the lion, the dove, or the bee. But only did God make man and woMAN as the crown of His creation.

Your mission, should you decide to accept, is to understand WHERE the derivation male and feMALE originated. Good luck, Then again, it’s really not a matter for Jim Phelps only, and it really is not that difficult,  for with God all things are possible.

This post will not self destruct in 5 seconds, but will  serve as a source for perpetual conviction, inspiration, or harassment.

  1. Oh, amen Colorstorm! Can we not embrace our differences, delight in them even, without this constant need for manufactured offense? Men do work indeed, and thank God for men who work! I much prefer driving over a bridge to wading across a creek, and paved roads are a luxury indeed. To the ladies who take such offense at these signs. I really have to wonder if they even understand the nature of “work?” I mean, one cannot just put their name on a sign and declare, “there, now I am working.” That is as foolish as clicking “like” on a facebook post and claiming you’re now saving the world.

Where I live, women can work all we want alongside men, in outside labor, and some do, but the vast majority of us prefer to do other jobs instead, not because we are oppressed and incapable, but because we are greatly blessed. There are always ditches to dig and firewood to be stacked, and “no, you cannot help,” said no man ever, but it is exceedingly unkind to not acknowledge who does the bulk of that work and rather then praising them, we falsely accuse them of oppression.

‘Different.’ Not better as some would accuse. ‘Manufactured offenses.’ Ain’t that an understatement of absurdity.

But your idea too of ‘putting a name on a sign,’ I’m afraid that’s where the direction is headed.

With transgendersim applauded, ‘boys’ being welcome in girls rooms because they ‘think’ they are female………males changing identity on a whim, yep, the road less traveled has become a logjam on the freeway.

And plenty of ‘signs.’ But we must admit insanitybytes22, God is not surprised, neither are we, but it sure doesn’t hurt to speak up and be counted.

And as far as equal opportunity here, I suppose a post should be in order regarding the wild and wonderful world of women, where men cannot tread…….

Guaranteed to tick off somebody I’m sure.

it’s really just an american thing,.. USA is the only country ridiculous enough to have all these feminists scream against Bible and the word man/men. I think women studies should be banned, these feminists have nothing better to do but take stupid classes that teaches them to accept genderism and hate anything male. i read about a woman who wasn’t put in jail even though she made a hashtag on twitter killallwhitemen.. this stupid feminazi lesbian woman drives her car made by men, on the roads made by men, buys her black makeup who was brought to the store by men, uses all these things made by men and still this is her attitude,..i personally enjoy a company of a good man and i think a good man is worth his weight in gold,.

Hi ana. There are no doubt other places in the world who have followed suit, but it does seem USA is just a bit louder to broadcast the foolishness.

And I get your point, with the last line, but I’m sure many would prefer she with the curves.

Predicable arch. I said many would use this lame excuse. You cite ‘French’ to deny ‘male and female’ as being created as different kinds.

    Nice try, but nnnno.

Even a caveman would scratch his head at your myopic insinuation.

Btw, the internet has doomed many a mind, with the ability to instantly ingest something without thought.

Well then, perhaps another restaurant would be more to your liking; may I suggest you try some of your friends eateries.

Nevermind, the nutritional value is low, but I could refer you to places which offer the Bread of life, flowing water to quench true thirst, Honey from the Master keeper, or even humor to whet the palate.

For if this site is a barren wasteland as you allege, doesn’t say much for you.

  4. Not that it matters, Colorstorm, but Arch, or rather the google, is wrong about the origins of the word “wife.” It had absolutely nothing to do with misogyny. In the old German a girl was a “wif,” later attached to the word “man,” indicating humankind. A wifman was a girl of the human kind. Interesting, but “wife” was actually used to designate the nature of our work, like a fishwife, midwife, or a housewife, not necessarily a word related to marriage at all. “Man-kind” was a term that always rather graciously included women, since we are “of men.” It is only in very recent history that the word “man” is being perceived as exclusive. Sad that, and no doubt already known to God.

Most excellent. Nice addition here ms bytes.

And as usual, God and His word are always correct.

There will always be interpretation barriers, but only to they who erect them. Love that ‘of men.’

Sure puts things in perspective. Tkx.

And now as a sidenote back atcha, to borrow from your idea of ‘recent history,’ and how things are changed:

The great word smith Webster (his bio is off the charts, especially in a world without electronic aids) defined ‘chastisement’ as punishment with a view to bringing back or restoring one to a rightful relationship.

Newer dictionaries focus on ‘punishment.’ Hmmm.

Once more, ‘Chastisement’ in scripture is always with a view to returning to God’s bosom. Those He loves He chastens……….

Gotta love what is tried and true.
(Now I gotta chastise myself for going sideways 😉

I don’t know, I kind of like it—-tells me what I need to know—and no I’ve never taken offense to “man/ men at work” even when it’s a woman in the crew holding the sign—I don’t have to have politically correct, gender correct this and that crap to understand and to get it—I’m ok with that and with being a woman, and for being a wife, and for being a mother and for having had to work for almost 32 years—I get it and I’m good—
And a nice Amen to you CS….

It’s gender neutral in the purest sense…that is, when seen through the eyes of faith.

For many moons, before the politically challenged arrived, the sign ‘men at work,’ to warn motorists that for the next 50 miles, they should be careful, for men were at work, was no biggie. It was men, everywhere.

So what if there are now ‘women at work,’ on the roads, etc, it does not change the fact that men are still at work.

And my guess? That woman could not give a whit about what you or others think, as she is no doubt happy with a decent wage.

Same old story. And I suppose too that ‘girl scouts’ are being bigots by being exclusive to males…….

People are sinners, both men and women. Sinning is what is involved in leveling the playing field. That playing field is about money, the love of money. In the name of leveling playing field, have you ever wondered how many babies died? Have you ever wondered how many children never felt truly loved and cared for by either mother or father?

There is a way of viewing our circumstances. We can consider the opportunities, or we can enumerate all the problems. Most of today’s so-called feminists prefer to enumerate problems and punish women for being women and men for being men. Seeking revenge for imagined crimes is just plain sinful.

How far back does mankind go? A hundred thousand years? I don’t know. I just know that even a thousand years ago life could be brutal, and in most of the world that is still the case. It does not help those struggling to survive to blind themselves to reality. When people are struggling just to exist, they cannot escape the reality that men and women are different. They must deal with those differences.

Because men and women are different, it is foolish to treat women like little men or to try to feminize men, but that is what too many of our leaders are trying to do. And that is hurtful to both men and women, not helpful to anyone.

What the Bible suggests is love. We should all love each other as we each love our self. Men should cherish their wives, be willing to give their lives for them. Women should love and be their husband’s helpmate. When we love each other, what is the big deal about putting “Men Working” on a sign? Yet those who rule want to heap false guilt upon us. Here in a Christian nation, where every effort has been made to recognize everyone’s rights, not just the rights of men or women, our leaders want to divide us into various identity groups: men, women, homosexual, transgendered, disabled, black, white, Hispanic, Catholic, Muslim, union worker, illegal immigrant, homeless, jobless, and so forth. Such division is about conquest, not about what is good for anyone.

So what should we put on the sign? Isn’t there a possibility that PETA might be worried about offending animals? How about: “Animals Of The Species Homo Sapiens Laboring”?

Actually, what the Bible is about is redemption. However, before they can be redemption, there must be repentance.

What sin do you commit that the Bible calls a sin that you deny is a sin? What rationalization do you use to justify yourself? Have you done anything except the suppress the knowledge of your guilt?

One of the thing demagogues do is they rationalize sin. They tempt us with the notion that we can raise ourselves up by putting down others. Their ideas to put down others generally work quite well, they never raise up anything except the tyranny the sin.

The most damage was done in the 60s during the sexual revolution and the feminist movement. Though I was an impressionable young woman at the time, I never fell for it. Woman being created from man has so many positives for women. We should feel safe with them because we’re a part of them. Still I don’t consider myself equal. Women are far more sensitive than men. We think with our hearts rather than our minds. We are physically built to have babies while men are built more physically strong to carry the bulk of the difficult work. I still love it when my man opens the door for me or offers me his arm or pushes the chair in for me at dinner. I know I’m way politically incorrect in my thinking, but I’m an old lady and I have the right to spout off if I want to.
