And now for today’s news:

Image result for newspapers

Pick a story, any story.  Enquirer? Paris? Isis? Major media? Economics? The View? Is-lam? Boys in girls locker rooms? How to steal a grandmothers purse? How to make a bomb for 2 dollars?  Fraud?  Yep, all kinds of stuff gone sideways.

How’s this for a headline:

-Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse- or:

-The love of many shall grow cold- or:

-Men shall be lovers of their own selves-  Sound and look familiar?

covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded,  lovers of pleasure more than God.

Men and their pernicious ways using scripture like ravening wolves while pretending to be sheep, and ungodly men finding fault with they who are honorable and decent. (here’s a tip though: from such turn away)

Oops, sorry did I say today’s news? Meant to say ‘some things found in the monarch of books.’ Yeah, you know, the scriptures of truth, the writings by the hands of men courtesy of He who knows the past, present, and future.

Men left to themselves, would not paint such a picture of the heart of man apart from the Creator.

Nope, evil is thought to be good, and grace is thought to be a token for the weak.  Yet, time after time, God’s word is perfectly relevant; it’s no wonder there are missions by the godless to dismiss it.

A man said not to long ago that Christianity needs to be eradicated from the earth. How dark is the human heart to not only say this, but to actively pursue it. Good luck with that. At the end of the day, the issue is always the same: men despise One above them, in whom dwells light,  to whom all mankind is answerable, and through whom all is possible.

The word of God is the only source which correctly proves the origin of life, the indictment of the heart of man, (while at the same time offering a regal position and a relationship with the Lord of heaven and earth) the confirmation of God’s covenants, the unsurpassable worth of faith, hope, and charity, as well as the oft under-appreciated value of a sound mind, which is the greatest possession; yep, that word is more than good, it is very good.

By the way, we can but scratch the surface of the wisdom available to one and all in the book of books; a most worthy pursuit. Read all about it.

Read all about it. Nice. Today I saw something I had not seen in years in a town I was in. Boys standing on corners selling newspapers. Didn’t know people still did that. Read all about it. We ought to stand on a few corners with the Word we have to share perhaps. I think I have to use a comment coupon for that one, as not sure it relates exactly LOL.

    • Boys standing on corners selling newspapers.” – I did that as a ten-year old! I used to stand on the street corner of my small town and hawk my papers until I figured out that I could sell out in ten minutes flat in a bar, selling to drunks!

Part of the charm arch was the highlighting by the ‘boys’ of snippets of news; kind of hard to do when speaking to someone who is not sober. ‘Yankees win series, extra extra….read all about it!’

But you can read all about it in your reference regarding what God gives: not a spirit of fear, but of love and a sound mind.

It’s true, isn’t it? So simple yet difficult for so many to grasp.
