So the latent butterfly says to the cocoon: ‘I want to live life to my full potential. I’m outta here,’ and with that, he flew away, and was heard to say: ‘screw evolution.’
‘So off I go, to preach the gospel of creation to any who will pay attention, evolution be damned. Nothing in me had a clue as to ‘flying,’ never had lessons you know, but I sure appreciate the opportunity for this new life, and rest assured, I am never going back to that odd-shaped apartment.’
So indeed does the transfiguration of Christ (whose raiment and face shone as the sun) validate the life and times of the butterfly. And by association, the people of God should not look back to the old, stale, and rusty life of a boring cocoon.
If any man be in Christ, THERE is a new creation, old things are passed away, all things are become new. So one might say, that the butterfly was born again, born anew, but we have a more sure word than the flittering fella, for Creation is easy to see, but ah, redemption, now there is a different story.
Still easy to see…….to hearts stayed on truth and the God of all glory. Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift.
