Well, this is deeper yet

Imagine the last vid as an appetizer if you will, to this, something better.  So we know next to nothing regarding the fountains of the great deep; those depths of waters clearly above our limited understanding of what lives beneath the surface of the world’s waters, how they live, where there live, why they survive, the pressures, the ridiculous contrast of the stars above with the waters below, yes, truly we are put in our place of humble shame, and rightly so, but we can still say: awe.

But it gets even more troubling and even more humbling than just realizing the heights and depths of creation.

Troubling in the best possible way, and humbling in the most necessary way, for as usual, nature is the finest of teachers. The word for the day is ‘pressure,’ and we understood from the vid there is sensational pressure underwater unbearable to humans. As it should be, as we do not have the ‘flesh’ to withstand that kind of life.

Now put in context the son of God with the pressure of impending Calvary; what MUST be faced there, what load must be put upon Him, tasting death for every man, while being made sin, having never sinned! PRESSURE? Uh hello, yes.

Pressure such as you and I couldn’t understand at ten, let alone twenty fathoms under the sea, where ALL THE WAVES AND BILLOWS HAVE COME OVER ME…. ‘O my God,’ would be the cry by the man Christ Jesus, as He withstood the pressure to ‘come down from the cross and save thyself.’ No. He withstood the pressure, and the unmitigated full and complete wrath of God. Against what? Against ungodliness of course.

Do not the rising waters of Noah speak to this entirety? Of course, for there was nothing in the world uncovered, as there was no sin on earth that Christ did not put away.  But truth be told, while He would be scorned by God, He would ever and always be in the bosom of the Father who delights in the son of His love. Such is the perfectly wrapped doctrine of the Godhead.

So while the window cracked in the sub of Picard at 10k meters, the Lord Christ withstood it all, the pressure, the separation, and became the payment for a bankrupt world gone sideways,  and in His final act of absolute surrender to the will of God, He bowed his head, not in defeat, but in the most marvellous act of worship, obedience, and beautiful testimony to those words: it is finished.

Talk about love. This was more than talk.

Do you have your personal animosity confused with wisdom? It would seem so.

I don’t claim to understand what Jesus did when He died on that cross. Yet we all understand what it means to be under pressure. So the way this post explains how ColorStorm relates to the sacrifice Jesus made when He died for the forgiveness of our sins makes sense.

You don’t believe Jesus died for our sins? So now you ridicule those who do? That says far more about a personal problem you have than anything else. When you good reasons for being thankful (we all do), why waste your time looking for someone blame?

I was thinking pretty much the same, and refused to answer that comment. Good for you that you got to the heart of the matter.

The post was distinctly Christian, and for someone to try to ridicule believers for enjoying the context of Gethsemane (the olive press) so to speak, is just too bizarre.

          Amazing? Snort!

When you left that note for ColorStorm, you told everyone who read it how your day is going.

When we start lashing out at others, we do so in envy. Doesn’t solve anything, and it won’t help you.

This is were preacher Mike tells us the reason he is so amazing it because he grew some brains and rejected Christianity. LOL. Then he proves how happy and satisfied he is with his decision to reject what he KNOWS is true by lashing out at any and all who still believe it. Look, Mike, you make constant claims about how Christians have bullied you and caused you to no longer be Christian, yet consistently the only thing you add to a Christian blog, is your little one line insults followed by something like “have a nice day.” All you are doing here is setting up a scenario so you can run back to your pathetic blog, and write a post about how Christians bully you or something equally stupid. There, I have bullied and harassed you, run off and write something now.

Wally, you need to see the difference between criticizing ideas and criticizing people. I know there is a huge identity in being a believer. At one time, for much longer and more involved than you have yet been, my life was ‘hid with Christ’. My whole identity was ‘C’. I also took it very personally when people cricized my faith, beliefs and ideas in Christianity. But they weren’t mocking or ridiculing me as a person. They were questioning and challenging, even mocking ideas.
When some one criticizes your ideas and beliefs, then you respond by attacking them personally as if they had attacked you personally, that is bullying and reveals how insecure and immature you are in who you are and what you believe.
I did not bully you or tom or cs. I criticized his posts and ideas as of late. You and Tom chose to make it personal by attacking me, as if I had attacked you personally rather than your beliefs and ideas. You are the bullies here brother, not me.
I just said, I hope you had a good Sunday. Think about it.

Sorry mike. Wally is completely correct and you are out to lunch.

Regarding the last two posts, which speak directly to God’s wonderful creation and redemption, here you come insulting what you know is PRECIOUS to we believers.

There is always the option of not saying anything, but truth be told, you know God’s word is good, and you cannot rid your soul of His truth, try as you may..

“Deep is exactly the description of the posts on your blog as of late, cs. Deep sh…”

If you think that is adult discourse and legitimate criticism of “ideas”, then you are clueless.

The ruling on the field stands. You are a mocker, a scoffer, and I will continue to call you out as such.

Now, run off and write something LOL.

So W, to bring it back on point, and to show others just how marvellous the word of God is, the person of Christ, and the ‘IDEA’ (which is fact of the matter) that He who knew no sin.was made sin………

And the ‘IDEA’) which is fact of the matter) that for someone to think sin does not exist, and to suggest there is no proof of sin in the world and in the heart…..one must be IN FACT, clueless.

Hence the ‘IDEA’ of water pressure unbearable to humans, but which points to the greater pressure of Calvary. 😉

          Wally,

As I told CT, this post is entirely Christian, and its embarrassing for atheists/unbelievers to invite themselves to a party in which they have no interest in the event, and just plain run around like a spoiled little brat screaming to get attention.

But you are correct. Mike in fact posted a previous post of mine, minus the context, trying to prove something I never said.

Interesting then, how unbelievers/atheists would go out of business if it were not for Christianity.
