Thought for the day

I made this comment on another’s post, and I hope you agree it is worthy of more air time.

but smart enough to know he is an idiot for believing it.’

  4. Yep. Well said, Colorstorm! Don’t tell anyone, but us truly smart people know there’s this little thing called “intellectual humility.” Makes all the difference in the world. πŸ™‚

In the bible we can read, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

Somebody once drew a cartoon of fish in an aquarium staring at this hand that was shaking fish flakes over the tank. A couple of fish were asking, “So, do you think he’s real?” Made me laugh.

Short and sweet and above all true. Apart from God, intellect cannot even crawl out of bed, and tkx for the fish tale. Awesome.

Those sea critters provide quite the lessons. lol (not to mention the whale and Jonah)
