Two by two-they dropped

Ha, can’t compete with Noah and the animals being called unto him for preservation sake, but at least this small blog can/has made a dent on the daily godlessness posing as intellect. How so? Glad you asked.

Image result for no apology!

Over the years, there have been steady visitations by the usual customers; they who have proudly admitted no use for God nor people of faith really, and they will/have, at every opportunity, offer a pittance of words that always paint believers as unthinking idiots, and God as an evil monster who is out to lunch regarding His own creation.

As you know, this site is a haven for unapologetic defense of scripture, that being God’s word is very good, and we the people, eh, not so good all the time. But one by one, they have dropped, from the most vocal and antagonistic to the grace of God, to the casual one sentence insult of my post(s); yes indeed, they have gone by the wayside, being thoroughly and completely defeated by scripture, truth,  logic, common sense, and helped alongside by the testimony of decent believers who have all spoken with the golden voice of agreement that God is very good, and His word resolute.

To prove this even further, I have been banned in many many places, (as have some of you) for simply being a voice of reason amidst profane commenters who would no more repeat things said online than if being in the company of a mother or children.  Light has this effect. It’s not my light mind you, nor yours, but the scorching light of eternal truth, which always scatters night critters.  (as an observation, some need moderated here because they have proved to be untrustful with a free forum; some put forth utter depravity and plain vulgarity which I will not host)

Yep, they used to come, and harass good people who enjoyed thoughts on nature, scripture, the news of the day, and they would find fault, but take note, they could find no wrinkles in a believers consistency, and they moved on to seek new ‘meat’ to try to steal precious faith or to simply plant seeds of confusion amidst the young.

I have said on many occasions that God has never lost an argument to ants, and while yours truly may have offered a random weakness of thought, God wins every time, and He need not even show up. His word is that good.

So congrats to all my believer friends, whose steady stream of visits and commentary have sealed that sure fate of godlessness, unbelief, and that ugly little monster called atheism, and that man of sin, whose disciples are really intellectual babies who have never grown up, and whose fleeing from the Den have confirmed the ever and always perfect word of the only living God, through whom He has revealed Himself in the age of grace, whereby the son of God sits on the right hand, abiding His kingdom of patience.

A silent heaven in the midst of a world gone sideways is the singular greatest proof of God’s truth. His quietness is deafening.

The whole creation still groans, from that once pristine place called Eden, through vice of every sort, through rebellion, disease, murder and mayhem, mischief and miscreants, through the spiritual raping of scripture perfected by atheists and pseudo scholars, through the tepid testimony of believers, through fear or fortune, through the reprieve of the Baptist’s life in the wilderness as a man among men, and as a disciple above all, he committed himself to One higher still, yet the earth cries out for a day of reckoning.

That day will come, but the time is not yet. So we press on, working, paying the bills, laboring in the wee town of Blogsville, suffocating godlessness as we testify to Truth at every turn, and how we advance God’s kingdom, and bless Him for allowing us to have a part, and to see a bit of fruit even now, as the tens become nines, then eights, then fives, then two by two they drop like swatted flies, and scripture wins the day. As always. And ever shall be.

Keep it up brethren, and yes, sisters are included in the phrase, lest the term ‘mankind’ be challenged by the weak-minded.  But the victory has long been won.

  1. I usually get banned by the phonies, both atheists and so-called Christians.

One of the biggest so-called Christian phonies is Insanitybytes.

Her only purpose is to attract lots of gullible Christian traffic to her site.

Hmmm. Banned by atheists is one thing.

There is no doubt however that your banning by the lady known as ib22 is for good reason that you have brought upon yourself.

You have said many things about myself where others may have not tolerated, yet here you are. Some people have different lengths in the leash of grace SoM.

Why don’t you man up and ask insanitybytes WHY you have been banned.
I’m pretty sure I know why. Maybe you do too.

Sorry, but there is no agreement AT ALL in finding her short of character or blogging ettiquette, and your assassination of her spiritual insight is outright pathetic SoM, if I must say.

But if you are asking me to play Herod by forming a confederacy with Pilate against her………….not happening.

One of the worst insults you can lay on a person is to wrongly accuse them. You are talking to someone here that is extremely fair minded and who pays attention to such things.

In the football game S, you are offsides. Just sayin. And you have insulted me here again by calling me a gullible Christian. Geez man, wake up.

      • Storm,

The Gospel message is to be preached to non-believers.

Consequently, it is an absolute tragedy when non-believers quit coming ’round.

Because I preach the true Gospel, non-believers continue to come to my site and relish in lively discussion.

However, because you and IB are not real Christians, preaching to the choir in an echo chamber looks like success to you…

…thus this obnoxious, self-aggrandizing post of yours.

You are IB without the talent.

          –Non believers quit coming around?’–

Did you read the post? It is because they have no argument. Period. It is not because they cannot tolerate my charm.

It’s the word of God SoM that people find revolting. The common atheist is hardly the garden variety non-believer that you imagine.

But the ‘non believers coming to your site and the lively discussion thing………..’ are you including or forgetting that they of whom you speak rather enjoy citing you as a science lunatic, and bible nitwit; (as they do me) that the essence of the gospel is irrelevant to them?

Hence the ‘attraction’ is misguided. But if you would cleanse your noggin from the foggy idea of interpreting everything through the eyes of Roman Catholicism………. you may have a more harmonious outcome.

As for me? I interpret all things through scripture, and herein lies the difference. If a thousand popes disagreed with scripture, you would still hold their words as God’s, whereas I hold God’s word as higher than the heavens………….as the scriptures command. 😉

But you keep coming around Silence, maybe I can help to clear the london fog. Nice of you too to recognize the good lady’s talent.

(And I challenge you to read the scriptural accounts of people who did not ‘hang around’ to hear sermons by loving people…………….. Stephen comes to mind. Was killed for preaching the gospel.

          Been stoned lately?

Everyone has an argument. It is arrogant to say otherwise.

          Let me correct that SoM.

While everyone may have words…..there is absolutely NO ARGUMENT that says:

‘There is no God.’ Period. It is hardly arrogant to point this out, but it is however the epitome of foolishness and arrogance to say God is not.

Kind of stupid really to deny the dirt carpet we walk on, while we hand out Academy Awards to the godless……….

To this end people cannot tolerate such blistering confidence, thus some run away. God’s word is sure and steadfast; don’t confuse my words with His.

          I an simply borrowing.

          Thank you.

Nevertheless, I don’t need others to tell me how to think.

For I have a brain of my own and I have trained it how to think.

However, clearly you are a very kind, tolerant and man.

I have always appreciated your pointing out the excellence of God’s genius and design through cellwork, dna, mathematical improbabilities, and of course, the stupidness of atheism,

I just wish you had something similar in mind when dealing with believers who do not dress quite like you.

The body of Christ thing doncha know. The little toe that is never ‘seen’ by the joint of the elbow, or the knee never seen by the ears.

All important. All have their own place. Not better. Not worse. Chew on it.

I agree Jesus tasked us to preach the Gospel, but I don’t how much of a tragedy it is when non-believers quit coming ’round. Most of the unbelievers who visit ColorStorm’s blog have at least some familiarity with he Bible. ColorStorm has his way of talking about the Bible, and so do the rest of us. Unbelievers shop around. They compare their arguments with our arguments. However, God is the one who redeems, not any of us. What is the best any of us can do with such? I think this passage just about covers it.

1 Peter 3:13-17 Good News Translation (GNT)

13 Who will harm you if you are eager to do what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for doing what is right, how happy you are! Do not be afraid of anyone, and do not worry. 15 But have reverence for Christ in your hearts, and honor him as Lord. Be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you, 16 but do it with gentleness and respect. Keep your conscience clear, so that when you are insulted, those who speak evil of your good conduct as followers of Christ will become ashamed of what they say. 17 For it is better to suffer for doing good, if this should be God’s will, than for doing evil.

Each of us in our own way tries to explain the hope we have in us. We have varying degrees of success, but it is what we do.

Is ColorStorm being a bit arrogant about his success in explaining the hope he has in him? To the extent he thinks he defeated anyone I suppose so, but he did credit scripture, not himself.

I would observe one other thing I think more important than debating unbelievers. When we blog about the Bible, we share our fellowship in Jesus Christ, and we have the opportunity to strengthen each other. That is something ColorStorm, insanitybytes22, and you (when you don’t get too dogmatic) do well.

What is that verse? They will know us by our love.

John 13:34-35 New King James Version (NKJV)

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

It seems that the preaching we do just by sharing Jesus in fellowship probably matters more in spreading the Gospel than anything else we do.

Tkx for pointing out the difference between our opinions and the ‘credit’ going to God and scripture CT.

Surely you remember the daily harassment that you enjoyed years ago when dealing with multiple people, and the back and forth of endless commentary, all with a view to ‘proving’ believers idiots, and God’s word suspect.

Nothing is ever settled…………however, God’s word DOES settle matters, yesterday, today, and forever.

This fact infuriates they who have no absolutes about anything. Some call it arrogance, I call it confidence in the living God. The one smooth stone of David kind of thing, which falls all godlessness.

In this the battle has long been won, and all Christians know this.

  2. Oh dear, the irony! I was trying to figure out how to explain that those most hostile towards me happen to be Christians, and what is with that mystery anyway? But I see Silence has already done it for me and demonstrated my point precisely. By the way, I have not banned him, although I have taken to moderating deliberate unkindness.

It grieves me no end the state of many believers and the church herself! I am the church,we are the church, and so I feel a sense of responsibility for us to clean up our act. No doubt the Apostle Paul himself once said those very words.

All in good humor here, but those who are always so unhappy with me, should see me without Jesus Christ. That there is any good thing in me at all, should speak to His power.

Anyway it’s a good post Colorstorm, sorry to detract from it. This is beautiful, “A silent heaven in the midst of a world gone sideways is the singular greatest proof of God’s truth. His quietness is deafening.” I have posted that right on my fridge.

Yep, if we are not denominational slaves, we are pretty much stupid. Good thing the Spirit of God has another opinion. 😉
