Smiling faces

These are opinions. Opinions based on what media heads say. Some are acting, and they are not really themselves……..so I can get away with these observations without hurting anybody’s feelings.Image result for laughing hyenas

TV’s are everywhere,  and they are on everywhere. You would have to live in a cave not to be aware of the culture that presses upon us. It’s embarrassing to have no real interest in this stuff, but to know so much of it.  Here we go:

Can only tolerate Sara Silverman for 1.43 seconds. If she opens her mouth, it’s much quicker.

Never watched an episode of 2 1/2 men. The trailers are enough of a train wreck. Can’t stand Sheen, and his perverse friends.

Never watched Big Bang theory. Can’t stomach the sheldon guy, and now there is a little sheldon. Double Ouch.

The View is torture to the ears. I think I enjoy screeching chickens so much more. But the Whoopster was halfway decent in Sister Act.

I know I know everyone likes Ellen. Not me. Something about women who want to be men. No comment on Maddow.

Bill Nye and Degrasse are also comedians and mere tools of the godless agenda trying to stamp out true science. Ever heard of Nye’s visual explanation of ‘disappearing ships?’ Too painful to watch. Actors I tell ya.

Jake Tapper is an actor too. Wolf Blitzer always has ‘bombshells.’ Toobin makes my head hurt. Lemon and Trevor are mere faces for the crookedness aka ‘tolerance.’  George Steppinoverous is hard to take seriously.

Gingrich is smart. Judge Jeanine is a good package of dynamite. Ben Shapiro crushes opposition in a minute or less. Trey Gowdy is one of a kind.

Can only tolerate Colbert for 1.37 seconds. If he opens his mouth its much quicker. Hmmm. Did I say tolerate?

I wish Kaepernick would shut up.  If only Ashley Judd talked less. Johnny Cash was awesome.

Bill Maher is a closet politician masquerading as an atheist comedian. No, not everything’s a joke. Ha ha ha.  Now Victor Borge was pure humor.

Hugh Hefner made my skin crawl upon seeing a grown man in a bathrobe EVERYWHERE prancing about as if he was wearing Levi’s.

Now to add something relevant…………..in some fashion, we all were once of some ilk, lopsided, astray, foolish, deceived maybe, stupid even, but God can make the crooked straight.  And He is happy to do so. There is a cost of admission though. The ‘pride’ ticket must be redeemed!

  1. I’m right there with you but I don’t even give those you offer a bit more than a second to
any time—as yes, in they make me feel nauseated….
and yes Gingrich is genius—not so those you mentioned who think they are….
and as for screeching chickens—you nailed it—I prefer them as well 🙂

Threw the TV out over 30 years ago. Some time after our children grew up my wife decided she wanted one again. So she went out and bought a small one. She thought rabbit ears would be enough, but I think the aluminum siding blocks the local signals. Still, somehow or another we get French TV for America. I never have bothered to figure out exactly how, but my wife speaks French and much of the content is in English anyway. The sex and violence, since it is the French version of public television, is minimal. Since they even report America’s news, she is happy.

Occasionally, when I am on the treadmill or the elliptical machine at the gym, I listen to Fox News, but that’s about it.

Rabbit ears. Those were the days…………..

But truly there are TV’s everywhere, and to pay for service is………….

I saw a guy last week that was able to get half a million stations, and complained there was nothing on. Too funny.

  3. Love that last line…”the pride ticket must be redeemed.” Yes, indeed. By the way, most of the programs that you mentioned that you cannot watch, I’ve never watched. And Gingrich truly is a smart and wise man. But overall, I’m not much of a television fan.

We are in pretty good alignment CS with our views on celebrities, although you have a bit more patience than I do with Degrasse and Colbert as I can’t watch them at all.

Yes indeed. I have a funny bone the size of the Mississippi, but it is tempered and automatically filtered.

Put Maher and Colbert together and you wouldn’t even see a blip on the radar…….check that, yes you would…….a flat line. lol
